Propery Owners Again
On Saturday we moved on to Whangamata where we contacted a Real Estate agent about a property we had seen on the net and spent a couple of hours looking at sections and batches. While we were looking for a place to park a couple pulled up in a four wheel drive and said that they were being nosey. We invited them in to look at the bus but the gent said “No I want to look at the trailer!” After inspecting the set up they asked where we were staying the night. We had not made any arrangements so they offered to let us stay at a property they owned just around the corner. They took us round and we spent the night behind a house. They allowed us to use the washing machine and we were able to take advantage of the great weather and wash the bus as well. Next morning we took another look at the property we had originally gone to see and made an offer. After a week of negotiating we now have a signed agreement to purchase a section in central Whangamata which has a huge garage on it. In the shed is a shower and toilet. Settlement is 21st July.
Mike took the new Kayak for a paddle around lunch time and then we headed back to Auckland where we both have some employment.
The Phil Judds are at home adjusting to family life. Zoe is having some eating problems – probably because she is so tiny. The parents are totally devoted, - see Photo of dad after Zoe’s feed. Last Saturday we were given the honour of being left to babysit for three hours.
The other big news is that Struan and Debbie have decided to get married next year. We are all thrilled at this!
We are now set up on a friend’s section in Pakuranga where he allows us to be connected to power and use of the shower and toilet. In return Mike helps with the sampling of some of his red wine collection. They are all OK so far. Both of us are continuing to work and will do so until September, with maybe some weekends at Whangamata. Mike has to build a storage room in the shed so we can move our belongings out of storage.
