Visitors

Oops missed a week – Sorry! The colder weather meant that there was snow on the mountains. It did not last long.
Last week was tied up with having work done on the bus. The COF was due and I knew there was an exhaust issue that needed repairing. We had a service done by Lloyd Heslop Motors. They service big trucks, fire engines and other types of vehicles. Their operation is really professional. They discovered that the engine coolant had broken down. This highlighted the folly of using inferior products. Those of you with vehicles should watch out for engine coolant which turns brown. After the service and replacing a bush in the suspension we drove away nearly $700 lighter!
Nelson Yacht Club conducted the Nelson/Marlborough regional championships last weekend, which did not reduce the workload on the sailing development manager.
The adult Learn to Sail group are really having fun on Sundays. This means that for the next few weeks Lorna and Mike do not have any days off together – bummer!
The last couple of days have been great with visitors calling in. Yesterday Maurice and Judy Landon from Auckland called in. Maurice is the owner of the boat that Mike sailed on in Auckland. This morning Val Griffiths stopped by. They are staying in the camp for a couple of days.
On the bad side our printer has decided that it does not want to work. It has gone in for assessment. Probably not worth repairing.
The weather is building to a strong northerly so the children may not be able to sail tonight. This will mean more classroom time.
I have just had a phone call that some LED lights have arrived. I am going to try these as they use much less power. If they are bright enough we will change most of the fittings in the bus.
