House and drains.

The builder is getting along with the house. The external frame is nearly complete and the gutters are in place. The cladding on the end gables is being put on. In the next couple of days the roof will go on, and by the end of the coming week the shell should be close to finished.

My contribution has been to dig the sewer drain - 24 metres long, starting 300mm deep and ending 900mm. I worked at it for 2 hours each day, and then rested. Showers during the day have slowed progress a little, but things are coming along well.

on Friday evening the Navy Band was in town and they played a concert in the RSA. They were really a bit loud for the size of the venue, but the music was excellent. Lorna and I are now standing in the rooms and planning where the furniture will be placed.
